Why Indian Cricket Team Jersey is Blue?
So, before telling the answer of the question let me tell you something about the history of cricket.
William Gilbert Grace is called as the father of cricket. He was an English amateur cricketer who was important in the development of the sport and is widely considered one of its greatest players. He played first-class cricket for a record 44 seasons, from 1865 to 1908.
The First ever cricket match was played between USA vs CANADA in 1844.
So Now lets move to our main topic that why did Indian Team wear Blue Coloured Jersey. It started back then when Team India is Choosing its Colour from the national flag.
As the Indian national flag consists of 4 different colours which are Saffron , White , Green and Blue. Now if they choose Saffron its was symbol colour for BJP which is a political party in India and they can also not choose white because its a Test match jersey. And Green colour is the colour of Pakistani flag. So they left with the colour blue so they decided to chhose it as their jersey colour and also the blue colour represents the peace.
